    Disable browser history indexing!

Edit: I have about 300000 indexes and it does not bother me the least.

I'd never even heard of that tbh (browser history indexing) but you might have given me a clue. Could all of this be to do with the Timeline feature ?

See Indexing Options. Deselect any reference to browser history.

Thanks @dalchina I can't just see anything relevant in 'Indexing Options' related to browser history. On balance I think I'll leave it be for now, particularly as others have noted the same behaviour. I guess like many things Windows related, there will be a reason for it (timeline ?) but it would be good to know for sure.

Depends on the browser and what you have specified to be indexed...
