Startup EXTREMELY Slow After Last Update

Hi, I see a few people are posting black screens at startup - in my case that's what I thought I had but if I let it go for a few minutes it would eventually get to the login screen. At a few other times, I got to a blue screen saying I needed to use the Recovery tools. All this seems to have started happening after the latest Windows update (I dont know if it's just a coincidence).

Is this a known issue? If not, then what can I do to speed up my startup back to what it was? It currently loads at the speed of a Commodore 64, for those who know what that is. Considering my OS is on an SSD, something's not right!
