    High RAM Usage in Win10

    Hi
I stumbled upon this weird behaviour in Win10, where I have only a few programs open, but memory usage is extraordinarily high. (pictures given)

It looks like windows does not clear the RAM after I close programs?
    How can I fix this?

Thanks for all tipps and answers.

    Regards

    Yikes, that is high

What if you close out any and all programs ?

How much does it use when you 1st boot windows ?

You can always clear the standby memory with rammap.

RAMMap - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs

Highlight the memory tab of Resource Monitor and post a snip.

Your non-paged (nicht ausgelagerter) pool usage is very high. Do you happen to have a Killer NIC?

You can follow the directions in this post to find who is using all that memory - Very high RAM usage all the time w10 - Windows 10 Forums

You may want to try PoolMonX, it's essentially poolmon but in a more user friendly GUI.

    Thanks alot for your answers:
@PolarNettles: yes I have a Gigabyte Z170x Gaming-3 Mainboard with Killer E2200 ethernet controller. Are there known issues with this controller?
@Spectrum: I downloaded the program and got this screen
High RAM Usage in Win10-ram_3.jpg is this of some use for you?

@AddRAM: RAMMap did nothing as I emptied all the lists. At first boot RAM usage is normal, but when I work or play some time it kinda stacks up the RAM. Snip of the resource monitor

Thanks, I didn't know about this app. It even identifies the driver for you.

Yes, this is a known issue with the Killer controllers. Get the latest driver version from Killer Wireless | Killer Networking | Killer Ethernet Driver .

It's identified that netio.sys is leaking non-pageable memory. Given that netio.sys is a core component of Windows it is likely the victim and not the culprit (otherwise everyone would be having this problem). It's very likely your killer networking driver, as that has been a known issue for quite a while.
