    Before you send back your computer you can try this;

    Here is my boot trace analysis;

    1. The short version: boot delay caused by a high disk I/O du to Bitdefender and the prefetcher.

    How to fix that:
    - disable Bitdefender
    - Repair the prefetch mechanism: run this command "xbootmgr -trace boot -prepSystem -verboseReadyBoot". Be patient this will reboot your system 6 times and can took a certain time. this is why you should disable the AV to not slow down the disk I/O.

    After the end of this command your boot should be faster.

    I'll post the long version later on.

    I found many threads showing that it is a widespread issue related to the 1709 CU. I guess I'll just have to wait for my manufacturer to update the drivers on the product page. Only then I will get to know if it fixed the issue.

    Thanks

    Edit: I found a link from Microsoft related to the driver update. Hope it fixes everything. Here's the link for if anyone visits this thread for solution.

    It's stuck at Preparing System in the second run. Don't know how to end it.
