Please download and run SeaTools for Windows.

Before the installation begins you will be prompted to either Decline or Accept the terms of the installation, click on I Accept.

    1. Once the installation begins SeaTools for Windows will search for HDDs and SSDs on your computer.

    2. Detected Drives will list the HDDs and SSDs found. Place a check mark in the drive box you want to run the scan on. This should be the drive that has the operating system installed on it, this is usually C: drive.

    3. You will see Basic Tests toolbar above Detected Drives, move the mouse pointer over this to open the test options. Please click on Long Generic Test

    4. This will start the scan. When the scan is complete you will see the result under Test Status , please post the results in your topic.

    5. The test will indicate either Pass or Fail. Post the results of the scan in your topic.

    6. Click on Help, then click on View Log File. If the scan failed take a screen shot of the Log File and post it in your topic.
    My drive passed the scan.

Open the Command Prompt by typing cmd.exe into Start Menu, right-click on Cmd.exe, and open it as an administrator.

    Execute following command:

    Code:
    perfmon /report

The perfmon /report command will collect performance data for 60 seconds and then generates and displays a system diagnostics report.

Please export the report to HTML format and upload the HTML file to file sharing site and give us the download link.

The "CPU" rating for the system is poor and may be the cause of performance problems. Reducing the number of open applications may improve system performance. Check for unnecessary startup applications and disable those that are not required. If the problem continues the CPU may need to be upgraded.

The "Gaming graphics" rating for the system is poor and may be the cause of performance problems in multimedia applications or games. Disabling Aero Glass may improve performance in multimedia applications or games. If the problem continues the display adapter may need an updated driver or may need to be upgraded.

The "Graphics" rating for the system is poor and may be the cause of performance problems. Disabling Desktop Composition or reducing screen resolution may improve graphical performance. If the problem continues the display adapter may need an updated driver or may need to be upgraded.

The "Disk" rating for the system is poor and may be the cause of performance problems. Reducing the number of open applications may improve system performance. Ensure the disk has adequate free space and is defragmented. Check for unnecessary startup applications and disable those that are not required. If the problem continues the disk may need to be upgraded.

The "Memory" rating for the system is very poor and may be the cause for performance issues. Reducing the number of open applications may improve system performance. Check for unnecessary startup applications and disable those that are not required. If the problem continues the memory may need to be upgraded.

Please reset BIOS settings to its factory default settings also set the SATA type to AHCI.

If nothing works then upgrade the BIOS firmware to latest version.

Edit: Also uninstall Bitdefender to see issue resolves.

The password is holyshit123. BTW, I am a new member so I'm not allowed to send PMs right now. The site says that I need to be a member for at least 4 days.

I guess I have a fairly good system that shouldn't see slowdowns. I have seen many systems with Pentium mobile chipsets, no dedicated graphics and low memory running on the latest update smoothly. I live in a hostel and many of my friends have such systems and they face no issues. My roommate has a Celeron system and I upgraded Windows 10 in his system from the same ISO and he faces no such issue. I guess it has got something to do with my laptop brand or some other issue. But my laptop wasn't slow when I got it. It got slow when after I installed the CU. I can't get any pre -CU ISO from trusted source to revert back.

The bios settings are limited by the OEM so I can't find any place to set SATA type to AHCI. There is no Advanced tab in BIOS.

What is strange is new computer come with DOS installed.

Only disable Superfetch if you have SDD drive, Superfetch is a service in Windows that's designed to speed up app launching by preloading certain apps based on your usage patterns.

When did you upgrade to FCU update i think with FCU you have 30 days to restore previous installation.

Have you upgrade the BIOS firmware?

    Have you uninstall Bitdefender?

    Lets check for malware infections.

    Malwarebytes' scanner
If this program is already installed: Skip the installation and run only the scan!
Download and install: Please download Malwarebytes' scanner to your desktop.

    • Double-click mb3-setup-consumer-3.x.x.xxxx and follow the prompts to install the program.
    • Click Finish.
    • On the Dashboard, click the 'Check for Updates' button.
    • After the update completes, click the 'Scan Now' button.
    • A Threat Scan will begin. Please allow it to progress through the scanning process.
    • When the scan is complete, if there have been detections, click Quarantines Selected button to allow the program to clean what was detected.
    • In most cases, a restart will be required.
    • Wait for the prompt to restart the computer to appear, then click on Yes.

How to get logs: (Export log to save as txt)

    • After the restart once you are back at your desktop, open Malwarebytes once more.
    • Click on the Reports tab > Scan Report. (if you have done more than one scan in the past, select the most recent that shows the Date and time of the scan just performed. Press View Report button.
    • Click 'Export'.
    • Click 'Text file (*.txt)'
    • In the Save File dialog box which appears, click on Desktop.
    • In the File name: box type a name for your scan log.
    • A message box named 'File Saved' should appear stating "Your file has been successfully exported".
    • Click Ok
    • Find the log on your Desktop and Attach that saved log to your next reply.

(Copy to clipboard for pasting into forum replies or tickets)

Download the right Windows bit version (32-bit or 64-bit) of RogueKiller

    • Quit all running programs
    • Once done, move the executable file to your Desktop, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator (for Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 users)
    • If the program is blocked, do not hesitate to try several times. If it really does not work (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe
    • Click on the Start Scan button in the right panel, which will bring you to another tab, and click on it again (this time it'll be in the bottom right corner)
    • Wait for the scan to complete
    • On completion, the results will be displayed. Click on the Open Report button in the bottom left corner, followed by the Open TXT button (also in the bottom left corner)
    • This will open the report in Notepad. Copy/paste its content in your next reply

The problem is that I have scanned my system with many trusted softwares including Malwarebytes. Bitdefender was also installed for the same reason. I only prefer to use Windows Defender. No threats were found by any AV software I used. Also BIOS is upgraded to the latest, infact I updated it within the week I got my laptop.
