If you mean in standard Windows (not using some tweaking software) then you only get this if you try to install software in compatibility mode.

If you run Whatver_Installer.exe in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (for example) then it will ask if it worked. That is fair enough - you decided to try running a program using whatever steps they do for Windows 7 compatibility. If you just run it standard (under Windows 10) then it will not ever ask.

I'd suggest not running any tweaking software as they all end up being a bit annoying in the end. If you run stock you know where you are. Up to you of course. My $2 only.
The message pops up, even with programs that doesn't run in compatability mode. I don't want any pop up messages on my computer.

Don't know then, sorry. That is the only time I've seen it.

Setting a folder template for all folders will also disable Automatic Folder Type Discovery. You will still always be able to manually change the template and view of any folder to what you like though.

Automatic Folder Type Discovery is when Windows will automatically change the template of a folder to match the file type of the last file added or saved in the folder. For example, if your folder contains music files and you add a picture file, then Windows may change the folder template and view to the "Picture" template to match the new picture file.
Well i tried this, and windows has messed up my folders again. I don't see the point of being able to change your folders view if windows is going to take it away from you regardless.

P.S does anyone know how to disable the annoying sound that plays sometimes when you type on your keyboard or if windows gives you a pop-up message?

If you set template to General Items for everything then nothing should change it back. I suppose that an upgrade to a newer version of windows 10 might restore default folder templates. The other thing is that some third party softwares can delete shell bags and thus reset folder view settings.

Also you need to modify each existing library.

    Also review:

Turn On or Off Notifications from Apps and Senders in Windows 10

However I've found that the following also disables push notifications:

    Run command regedit
    Go to path [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WpnUserService]
Double click on Start from the right side
Change the value data to 4 then OK
    Reboot

@Callender i have disabled get notifications from apps and other senders.

Is there a way to provoke one of those pop up messages, just to see if it works?

I don't know because I don't see any notifications. I'm guessing that you could open your calendar app and create an event then see if you get any notification. I suppose the answer would depend upon which apps you are using that might push notifications.
