The commands that were displayed were WIM. Please switch the command to ESD > post the results into the thread.

    Hi Mark Phelps

Sorry if i'm wrong but it sound like you have not executed below command which repairs Windows component store corruption.

    Code:
    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
If you look at my first post, you will see that the RestoreHealth option was included in the DISM command -- and I have run this several times now -- with the same results that it fails because I can not find the sources it needs, even though I point the command to the Sources directory from the mounted Win10 ISO file.

The commands include WIM because the install file in the ISO is "install.wim" not "install.esd".

The iso from the Microsoft website when I created a bootable windows 10 iso was ESD.
What was the source of the windows 10 iso?

The commands above will display the results if ESD.

Hi, have you run into the problem described and resolved here?
DISM problem , on windows 10 creators update , ver.1703 Solved - Windows 10 Forums
That mentions creating a Scratch folder -- which I have not done. I will do that and repeat the DISM command and report back the results ...

Turns out I did not retain a copy of the 1703 ISO and when I went to use the MCT, it forced me to downoad the current ISO -- which is 16299, not 15063. So, I had to resort to using Heidoc.net to download the ISO file -- and it contains install.wim not install.esd.

UPDATE: OK, tried using DISM with the ScratchDir option -- same results: can't find sources.

Maybe the install.wim file is no good -- but it's the only ISO I could find to download.

Thank you for the link -- but that is exactly what I have done, several times.

I will pursue the links that zbook posted to see if I can find a different 1703 ISO file.
