reply to the thread: Low disk space in recovery drive E

" I understood you to say earlier you didn't copy anything there." I also said that Seagate might have stored something there without my knowing it. That's the only way it could have gotten there. I totally don't understand any of this crap except that Microsoft is totally willing to market it to people who don't understand it and then can't make it work for them. Adios.

Ken, just relax. We have all been there and done that.

It's not Microsoft's job to train us. When one wants to do more with Windows one has to learn more.
We are here to help you do just that. Just take a deep breath and relax.
We know it can be frustrating. I'm just learning Windows 10 and it is a challenge at times. Its that way every time I change operating system.

Remember we are here to help.

Start with this. Some basic names.
Look at your picture of Disk Management.

You have Disk '0' and Disk '1'

Inside Disk '0' you have 3 Partitions
Inside Disk '1' you have 2 Partitions.

A Disk is a certain size it came from the manufacture with. Lets say 500 gb. Disk have numbers like '0', '1' up to as many drives your system can handle.

A Partition is within the Disk and can be made any size you care to have it, up to 500 gb. in this example. Partition have letters like 'C', 'D', 'E' and so on.
This will give a option to haveone or more Partitions within one Drive.

I hope this will make it easier for you to understand and post about disk management.
The proper terms help other help you.

You volunteers do an excellent job and I surely do appreciate it. I understand that it's my responsibility to make an effort to learn but my quarrel with Microsoft is about quality. I think they are in such a hurry to market new software in order to make more profit that they put stuff out there before it has been reasonably tested and they make us be the guinea pigs and deal with their problems. I would point out that I am not the only person in the world who is convinced of this.
It looks like your reply to the thread contains the kind of information that I need (and have been lacking) in order to get a handle on this. I'll copy and print it all and give it a go.
    Thanks very much.
