    Hi,

    what's your Realtek audio driver version ? check it under "c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\AtihdWT6.sys"

    On the HP Website, the latest version available for your PC model is 6.0.1.6383 Rev. A (Jun 2012). Try install it anyway it may fixe the signature problem.

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers...mId/vc-97141-1

    When you install it;

    - First restart your computer;
    - Next take another boot trace to see the difference;

    See you...

    The driver on the HP website is older than the one I have installed.

    I installed that new Realtek driver but the boot time did not decrease.
    As to a newer BIOS, it seems that HP does not have one for my PC model running on Win 10.

    You may at least gain 12s. You have another problem in addition to this one; the high disk I/O that we should handle after solving this one. I suspect your prefetcher not working properly, that can be solved. Do not make the mistake to disable it, as many people suggest to do. You have a 7200 rpm disk and 8 RAM. the prefetcher should work fine if repaired.
    We will do that tomorrow as i m going to bed now.

    But before going further take a new boot trace. We need to check the efficiency of our first action.

    See you.

    Reporting back.
    I ran several boot traces. Every time when I tried to open that .etl file a window popped up, telling me that all events were lost.

    have you executed the "xbootmgr.exe" ? usually this happens after running this command to repair the Prefetcher.

    Can you tell me which values do you have under these registry keys;
