USB-C/Thunderbolt Port replicator or Dock Recommendation

Folks,

I have an Alienware 15 laptop for which I'm running out of USB ports. (I use if for some gaming, but it's also my full desktop replacement / home computer.) What I'd like to do is add a port replicator or docking station that I can plug into the USB-C/Thunderbolt port and get multiple USB 2.0/3.0 connections out of it, more or less like a hub. I don't need it to carry video as I'm using my HDMI port for that.

Any recommendations for a useful device? I bought some random item off Amazon and then saw that it would only support a maximum of 900mA total across all devices, despite it being plugged into wall power. That seemed to be pretty limiting.

So, any recommendations?

If all you want is USB connections then that is literally a hub.

There aren't many powered type-C hubs out right now, probably because power delivery gets complicated if both sides can supply power. But you can just get a regular powered USB 3.0 hub and get a Type-C to Type-B cable or a Type-C to Type-A adapter.

That would certainly work, thanks. As it turns out, I found one that looks like it will do the trick; it comes in 4- and 7-port models. Even the 4-port model should be plenty for my needs, but here's the link to the 7-port version.
