    New Build question with monitors

    In short I'm deciding between
    LG 29UM68-P vs LG 34UC89G-B
Is it really worth the extra money for the 34 inch over the 29 inch?
the 29 inch has Free sync and the 34 inch has G-Sync and I will be going Nvida so the 34 inch makes more sense plus it is a 144hz monitor vs the 75 hz 29 inch. The issue here is Price the 29 inch comes in at $227 vs the 34 inch at $650. I just am wondering is the 144hz G Sync same res really worth the extra $423? I am curious on others opinions.

To me, going from 24" to 27" was totally worth it, much easier on my (old) eyes but when I tried 32", it wasn't very good, maybe because of it's placement (about 3 feet away. Even with highest resolution it appeared too coarse and I had to actually move head from side to side to see whole picture.
With monitors it's even more critical to maintain right distance according to size than with let's say TVs.

The bigger they are, the more productivity you can achieve.

I understand the size distance and the more productivity with the larger screen I was asking about the Price more specific how much is 144hz or 144hz With G-sync worth it. I actually am deciding on a GTX 1080 so of course the Free sync monitors won't benefit me. I Do not want to have an AMD Video card either so is the Jump for the $650 monitor really worth it?

    LG29UM68-P - $227 - Has Free sync only/ 75hz
    LG 34UC79G - $500 - Has Free sync only/ 144hz
    LG 34UC89G-B - $650 - Has G-Sync only/144hz

    Hi,
Depends on which graphic's card you get
If you get a card that is compatible with G-Sync it's worth it if not no.

G-Sync is like win-10 game mode it reduces frame rates
144Hz wouldn't really matter at that point because either would reduce to a steady steam probably 60fps if your lucky :)

I would think it matters whether you are a serious gamer. If you are, 144 Hz will make a difference. If you are not, or only a casual gamer, that refresh rate will make little difference to you. The G sync is mostly to stop tearing during gaming. If your card puts out way too many frames for your monitor or way to few, you can get tearing. G sync basically tries to keep the monitor and graphics card synced.
