    Hi,

Regarding the 20 to 25 degree C drop, isn't that what some claim to achieve after delidding and using liquid metal under the lid and on top of it ?

If you were one of the unfortunate ones and got a cpu all goobered up from Intel then a delid can have some serious good results. I have seen some guys say they got that big of a gain in lowering temps.

I have not. I have a 900p ssd inbound. I think when I do a clean install I may do it then. Have CLU or Conductonaut in house, not sure which I will use.

What can I use instead of rubbing alcohol to remove thermal paste?
Is it absolutely necessary to use rubbing (isopropyl alcohol)? Can't I just use a wipe/napkin or something else? Is there any harm in just applying the new paste without removing the old one?
