Nice case but it would be way to small for me. nothing else but full server tower could house all the stuff I have in there.

In case anyone was wondering why I built the system I did, even though I do not game(like a friend of mine at work asked me), at the link are two wallpapers I made today(actually one, and for the second I just changed the hue of the first), to get the effect for the background behind the ROG logo, I used "Solidify" in GIMP, that changes the alpha channel(transparency) to the effect you see.

It took over 20 minutes using all 12 threads at 5GHz. I even needed to ramp up my fans to keep it well under 50°C during the processing. In that time I drank a coffee and took a shower until it finished.

    It works well for me.
Have you turned off the multicore acceleration crap, and set your OC to all cores?
I have also disabled SVID support, and set my core/cache limits to their max.

Internal CPU power management long & short duration are also set to their max.
AVX instruction core ratio is set to 3
and LLC is set to 6.

I have done pretty much the same but most of my gaming is on the 6950x

Got my Aquaero 6 XT installed. Had to fab up two mounting brackets out of some scrap aluminum. I don't have any bays it could be inserted into. Not much these units can't do in terms of running rad fans and pumps.

I have 4 inline water temp sensors to install. Of course when I ordered the unit I forgot that I would need 4 male to male joiners for the sensors. They should be here next week. I plan to put one going in and out of each block, cpu and gpus. That way I get temps from the rads and after being heated up. I will adjust the curve they are on from those numbers.

The software for these units is simply awesome. Here is the curve I am currently using. The software is able to use Aida64 sensors for its temps. Each curve represents one rad. One for Cpu and one for both gpu's.

I need some more opinions please guys, if you don’t mind

I bought an i7 8700k from OC/UK on Boxing Day sales (just caught it before the prices went back up) and I have an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1060 (which I’m using on my system now)

But I’m having some difficulty in choosing between the motherboard and ram
On the ram the choices are between

3200MHz and speed CAS 14-14-14-31 Timings or
3600MHz and speed CAS 16-16-16-36 Timings

    https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team-...my-08l-tg.html £209.99 *
    Team Group Dark Pro " Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/ CAS 14-14-14-31 Timings

    Team Group Dark Pro " Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C16 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/ CAS 16-16-16-36 Timings

On the motherboards the choices are between

    Asus ROG Strix Z370-E
    Asus ROG Maximus X Hero
Asus ROG Maximus X Hero (WI-FI AC)

Bearing in mind the last time I played games was Space Invaders on one of those Arcade Machines around 40 years ago but I would like to get the best that I possibly can, maybe some overclocking. :)

    http://thebottlenecker.com/#project

Bottleneck detected: Your GPU is too weak for this processor. Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz with GeForce GTX 1060 (x1) will produce 28% of bottleneck. Everything over 10% is considered as bottleneck. We recommend you to replace GeForce GTX 1060 with GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Says “bottleneck” but bottleneck to what, Space invaders? :)

besides the price of a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is the same as another CPU, Motherboard and Ram
