    I imagine your freezer won't get to -55°C either.

    That's an entry level unit. I've seen some go below -100°C and pull 900 W from the wall while doing it.

    Sure it would but the thermostat is set to -35C for long term storage of meat.

    I've actually built one of those phase changers from an old refrig. Got my dual CPU setup down to -25C on full load. That was just a prototype/experiment. :)
