Mike give RealTemp a try. It works will on all of 3 of my systems. Windows 7 and 10.

Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring

Because VRM can get hot on a X79 I have the back mounted fan blowing in on the VRM across the top of the motherboard.
When I built the computer a long time I read that some were having problems with VRM heat.
It's been so long ago I don't remember the place I read the info.
My X79 and X99 both have a fan from the rear of the computer case blowing on the VRM.

    HI,
The only other cpu cooler I have for x99 is the one I'm using for my x299 with the original cpu block and not the new mono block I added.
That is a lot of work to break down and install it on the x99
Might just buy a new loop
Corsair RMA no telling how long that would take.

Thinking of taking my x99 to micro center and have them flash the bios without a cpu in it :/

    Hi,
Yeah I used to use realtemp but switched once I got 10 cores
I used realtemp GT too it does show all 6 cores
But I don't know why just got used to coretemp after it was needed for the 10 core processor

Regardless of which is used all my x99 problems are happening in the bios so neither can be used :)
    Some thing is wrong
I'm hoping it's just a hosed cpu cooler
Only question is what to do about it
I have a compatible cpu water block but need connections/ pump reservoir and hoses to use it.
Or buy another AIO or cheaper until I can rma the h110i gt :/

Just before I installed Windows 10 a few days ago on my X99 Asus i updated the bios from 1401 to 1802 using the bios (update using the internet) It worked fast and flawless.
When and if you do update the bios all the settings will go back to default.

Look in you motherboard manual. It should tell you how to update the bios without a cpu installed.
If it doesn't, their are a bunch of information on the internet on how to do such a thing.

There are a bunch of videos here.

What happens if you run / install Corsair Link Version: 4.9.1.23 .....which is NOT the latest version. You should be able to control the pump and cpu fan ....set them on a high setting. Just a thought, as I use this version with no issues.

    HI,
I would but x99 starts and goes straight to bios and shortly after that freezes.

Getting ready to fire "no pun intended" up with the 212 evo finally found the correct offsets to use for 2011-3
That was fun by the way
