    Hi,

Yeah, see what you mean there @doorules. Been toying with R0 using twin sata SSDs. Benchmark was impressive but the feel and snappiness nowhere near a NVMe drive though.

Gosh, where are the days I run 10 (yes 10) 15K scsi disks in R0 off an LSI or Adaptec raid controller in a Dell dual Xeon server.....
No need to turn the heater on in that room.....

    Cheers,

When ssd's first came out I had 8 OCZ 30 GB ssd's in R0 on an LSI card for my OS. Talk about asking for trouble.

    Hi,

Funny, my first ssd was a 120 Gb OCZ sata II. I still have it installed in an old Dell Optiplex 745 and it's still 100% good. 3.5 inch format and those semi-conductors were huge compared to what we have today..

Oh well... The need for speed, hey. I'm a true sucker when it comes to tech...

    Cheers,

I just customized my UEFI/BIOS boot screen.
Neat thing you can do with the ASUS BIOS, only problem is, you need to redo the complete BIOS after, good thing I remembered all my settings, after mucking around it there the last few day.
I'll need to pick up a small thumbdrive to save my settings on beforehand next time.
With my MSI board, my profiles were always carried over after a BIOS update.
Sometimes I could even use them after.

My boot screen logo is now an Alice transparent I created and modified for some of the wallpapers I have made:
