So actually they have made it easier to do then:)
As much as i see people putting a already installed os on hard drives just for booting it shouldn't matter about previous drivers

They actually become obsolete because windows corrects it for the hardware change

Yep, I have prepared Windows Server 2012 R2 on a VM and then deployed the installation to a physical HDD multiple times. And finally plugged those HDDs in some random desktop computer. Has worked like a charm every time. Takes a while to populate all new drivers though and might seem like Windows is stuck. But all is well after about 10-30minutes depending on hardware.

Doing this on Windows 10 should not be that different.

Ok when I turn it on and boot to Windows the first time, I'll put my coffee(waiting on the Coffee lake) and take a shower then:)

Byy the way some news for anyone who wants a GPU to extreme overclock on water: EVGA announces their GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N Hydro Copper single slot GPU | OC3D.net

EVGA has officially revealed their new GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N Hydro Copper, the company's new flagship GPU which features a custom water block and a single-slot design as well as the highest clock speeds in EVGA's entire GTX 1080 Ti range.
This GPU is listed on EK's web store for $1249.99, making this GPU one of the most expensive gaming cards on the market, offering an overclocking oriented PCB design with a 10+3 phase VRM, 9 thermal sensors on the card's PCB and integrated RGB illumination.

Even with this GPU's single slot design, EVGA has managed to deliver a full assortment of display outputs on the GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N Hydro Copper, offering three mini DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, a single HDMI 2.0 output and a single DVI output. This is identical to most GTX 1080 Ti GPUs on the market, aside from the change from DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort connections.

1080ti is still the king as far as price and performance from Top Gpu's

Titans are nice but the price tag is equal to a arm and a leg lol

Take a Titan Xp over any 1080 ti. Especially a Ti that expensive.

Tommy, the price mentioned for the Kingpin Hybrid is the same as for a Titan. That puts a kink in the price to performance charts. But the Kingpin is usually made for LN2 and benchmarking. I don't know how good they are in gaming. For that much money, I'd take the Titan any day.

TITAN Xp Graphics Card with Pascal Architecture | NVIDIA GeForce Looks like the Titan is cheaper, in fact.

    Hi,
Indeed a Titan xp would be pretty good although the 1080ti's closed the gap a lot
But there is supposed to be a new Titan coming maybe that's the one you posted too Steve ?

Not that I am aware of. There is the commemorative version or whatever they call it, but as far as I am aware, it is the same Titan XP, just a little more dressed up version. I have no doubt that when Volta is released there will be another Titan, but I have no clue when that will be.

My main point was that if I was going to pay $1200 for a graphics card, it would be for the Titan, not a TI.
