    Hi,

    Thanks @doorules.
BTW, if I may ask, are you happy with that P900 drive ?

    Cheers,
    HI,
The only way he could probably be any happier is if it was free :)

@doorules, now that I have two M.2 @ 4X PCIe, I have moved all three of my Hyper-V VM's to the old client M.2.
They were on the 850Pro before.
I have noticed a HUGE difference when Windows in the VM gets a Cumulative update, and even larger difference when a version upgrade. Because a VM has literally less overhead being a parasitical OS, it upgrades faster than some PC's wake from hibernation

Never used a VM before Cliff.

    Hi,
With all these cores it might be best to use 10 in a vm now :)

Steve got me started on that road:)

He made a video showing how easy it really was to set one up and use them.
The video from Steve was for VMWare, which in the beginning, I used, because I only had a Home version of Windows.
Then later when I had Windows 10 Pro, Kari got me into Hyper-V.

I have my Windows 10 insider build in a VM. Great for testing software, where I can make a checkpoint before hand, and just rool back if I don't like the outcome.

I stopped using insider builds a couple months ago. Seems to be no end to it and no real purpose from my perspective. Seemed to me they were just throwing crap against the wall to see what would stick.

Don't think I have a need or any practical use for a VM.

If I have a problem with windows or even get to the point I think I do it's fresh install time.

    Hi,

Talking about foolish benchmark numbers. Has any of you tried to run a pair of NVMe drives in raid 0 for kicks ?

Same here. I might pick it up again later next year though just so I don't get too bored.

I ran my two 950's in R0 for sure just to have a look. That was when I first got them and drivers for raid and Nvme were very immature. I used to play with ssd's and raid quite a bit. Went through many a raid card trying to get bigger numbers.

Here was two 950's in R0

Single Intel 900P, you see what I mean by foolish
