Ya but if you know your fan is supposed to run at say 1500 RPM hooked up directly to 12 volt then it should run at least close to that.

I have my 140 radiator fans hooked up directly to the PSU.
Mine runs at 7100 Rpm as it should, connected to AiO pump connector on MB, just had to put it on manual, voltage regulation. I can keep an eye on it but will have to check if there's alarm for it.

    Hi,
    Yes asus bios are fun
But as Steve said I believe 98% are pretty good at default
Only items I've had to change is voltage related about a hand full.
Darn mark2 I swear was easier to use/ oc lol

I'm not so worried about the overclocking stuff, I was really talking about all the other stuff, PCIe, devices, peripherals, and security(which is really high on my list), and so on.

I switched to CoreTemp it shows all 10 cores
If you missed it Hwmonitor shows 13 core
Missed when I posted that I guess about 5-6 pages back
    There 7900x's are binned 7980x's

486 MBs and AMD K6 were even easier to OC, cut one trace, change one resistor and there it goes, 150MHz. AMD "Barton", take pencil, connect dots at the back of processor and up it goes another 200 - 300MHz.

    Hi,
Now I'm seeing why hwmonitor is showing all those cores
Binned cores I guess were 5-7 lol
Although it looks like one has a load on it

So, now you get a couple of extra "free" CPU cores when you install HWMonitor
All you need to do now is install Corsair Link, and you can get a couple "free" fans to keep them cool then.

    Ok I give up

That SSD that isn't getting recognized I mentioned earlier, I have tried switching out to a known working data cable, switching ports, even giving it, it's own SATA power cable, but Windows and BIOS is not seeing it

I don't "need" it in this machine, as it is just a 512GB Samsung 850Pro, and now, since I bought a 2nd M.2, extra for this mobo, and it is also 500GB, I have the same amount of space(just faster).

I guess I can pop the disk in my "off the shelf" Lenovo H530, that I have for a backup desktop(as opposed to my laptop) ,so no loss, just....
    well you know...
    Kaka!

My disk setup is now(I need to fix it in my specs now too):
    Samsung 960EVO M.2 500GB -- C: drive
Samsung PM951Client M.2 512Gb SSD: for my Hyper-V virtual machines
    Samsung 850EVO 1TB: Libraries & OneDrive
2TB 7400rpm HDD: system images and VM exports.

So I had no idea what I could have used it for on this machine anyhow.
