I'm waiting for the ASUS Maximus X Formula Z370 mobo to be released along with an 8700k.
I like Asus i really do but for the last 3 years i been all Asrock again so i am very used to the Bios not like it makes a ton of difference but you understand what i am saying

I know Asus is king when it comes to overclocking some of the features though leave much to be desired some of the less pricey boards do pretty much the same

I hear you. I can't complain about the Asrock mobo I have now. It's been rock solid all these years.

It'll come down to how much ASUS wants for the mobo if I go with the Formula or Code.

Formula would always be my choice i got one of the Delided CPU's from Silicone Lottery through ebay for 480.00 and Binned 5Ghz easy temps i was told was high 70's with a Air Cooler so it should hit that magic 5.1 or 5.2 with little to no sweat

I am debating should i sell the 6700k board and Cpu or just keep it for future builds not like it would be a big deal probably should keep it as a back up in case i need to hook up a family member or something

Nice looking board Shawn. Almost got me jealous.... but then I remembered it's an Asus. Gigabyte all the way man :)

All kidding aside Asus makes some darn pretty boards with performance to boot. Still a Gigabyte man myself, though the one thing I wish Gigabyte took from ASUS is their BIOS. Ours is just so bland and boring. Regardless that's a really nice looking board there.

For me in terms of mobo's it comes down to the bios. Board is only ever going to be as good as the bios allows.

Asus has Shamino writing their bios's. He was with EVGA for a few years back when they has good boards. When he left their bios's went to crap and they were years getting through that.

As long as Shamino is writing bios's for Asus no way I change. He is simply awesome with bios features.

Last time i seen Worf he was dominating some records that six core chip is a beast too bad Intel offered lower six core chips that do half of this it's like why did they have to trickle down performance until AMD made them work lol
