FYI for Z170 and Z270 owners, Intel identified a bug and ASUS boards have an update available, not sure on other brands

    Thanks.

Just checked Gigabyte's site for my Gigabyte GA-Z270X-Gaming 8 board and there's no update there for this. Checked both BIOS and chipset drivers. Still showing the old F7 BIOS. Under Chipset its still showing the old 11.6.0.1035 Intel Management Engine drivers.

Incidentally a couple of days ago my Lenovo laptop updated it's ME drivers. Was weird because it auto updated. Something I'm normally notified about before hand.

    Dude mentioned Z170 & Z270 users. Perhaps X299 users aren't affected?

BTW also checked my Z170 board at Gigabyte and there nothing there for it either. So no Z270 or Z170 updates for this from Gigabyte (yet).

Thanks @Dude, got it installed on Z170E. Still boots. I usually check on Sundays when I do maintenance and backups. Updates for this old board are slim but, I've been waiting for them to fix the ME problem even though they have said consumers CPUs are not affected. :)

No Bios or Updates listed for my G11CD, not even sure I got the Intel ME interface or anything lol, Asus I think 1110M motherboard inside, so not sure if affected or not lol, as this system is my first ever intel system since 2003, previously used All AMD processors lol, but Device manager shows I got all drivers installed, so maybe fine

You can download HWiNFO either the 32 or 64 bit version, its a free program. Then install it, this will tell you what version of ME you have installed, if any. Screenshot and Link below. :)

No need for 3rd party software, so does device manager:
