I just checked this for the heck of it:

Bottleneck detected: Your GPU is too weak for this processor.
Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz with GeForce GTX 1060 (x1) will produce 28% of bottleneck. Everything over 10% is considered as bottleneck. We recommend you to replace GeForce GTX 1060 with GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

A 1060 is not going to bottleneck!
It will still kick butt in 1080p(not sure of 1440 though) gaming.
It "talks" through PCIe directly to the cpu, if anything RAM or even an SATA ssd or anything running through the chipset, might make the cpu wait, but not a 1060 graphics card.

It's merely a suggested calculation, it doesn't actually test your particular PC, so I would pay it no mind. But it does come up with some strange observations.

When I configured it with a 7900X and only 1 1080 Ti, it said I should replace my 1080 Ti with a 1080 Ti. Ha :)

I almost didn't purchase my First Intel System in years with Geforce GTX 1050, and Intel I7 7700 in September as someone mentioned in another forum it was gonna bottleneck the system, but it's working fine actually, haven't gamed at 1080P yet, as gotta get the updated monitor for that.

Very happy with this system for sure though, Even Purchased Replacement Laptop with Intel I7 7700H Processor think it is, and Geforce 1050TI as well, gonna do some real gaming on it tomorrow morning, as done finally updating all the software and drivers this morning

A 7700 could run a 1080 Ti no problem. Maybe you should have gotten a 1070 Ti :)

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) is looking into the possibility of DRAM price-fixing between the major memory and Flash suppliers, with specific interest from the Pricing Supervision Department of said commission. An official from the regulatory body, Xu Xinyu of NDRC, stated the following: “We have noticed the price surge and will pay more attention to future problems that may be caused by ‘price fixing’ in the sector.”

Just as Samsung has already said they were going to increase production to help the supply shortage.
