Logging CPU usage over long term (every five seconds for a month)

In order to use my memory at its rated specification, my CPU has to be overclocked and this also means it has to be over-volted. I don't want to change the CPU cooler if I don't have to and I'm trying to find out how much time my CPU approaches 100% to find out whether I need to consider it.

If I use a stress test (OCCT), the maximum permissible temperature is exceeded after about 150 seconds and the test aborts.

I have set up Performance Monitor to log % Processor Time every five seconds so I can find out if it ever hits 100% in practice and if so, for how long but I would also like to know what program is using the most CPU time and don't know how to include that information in the logging. Ideally I'd only record which programs are using over, say, 20% and only when CPU usage total is over, say 70%.

Never heard that before.
My memory runs at 2800 all the time, never had to OC the cpu for it to do that.
CPU`z will show you what your cpu`s running at at any given moment.

I don't know why. Are you saying you don't believe me? Would saying that leaving the memory settings at AUTO does not require the CPU to overclocked but changing the setting to XMP invoked a message saying that the CPU would be overclocked to make this happen and it was done automatically make it any more believable? I don't know what to tell you. Your memory is slower than mine and your CPU is faster, so it's hardly surprising that you don't need to overclock your CPU to achieve your rated memory speed.

I am not interested in solutions that involve me spending the next month watching a display of the CPU temperature. Windows 10 has a built-in feature for logging such things. Computers are meant to free humans from such tedium. My question is how to also monitor the apps which are responsible for the largest share of processor time when processor time exceeds a threshold. The solution should involve automatic logging by software and absolutely not involve me looking at the processes in Task Manager.
