Any one know where I could get my hands on some DDR3 ECC UDIM PC3-12800 RAM for free

Been looking but sellers want some funny money for it just now. Asked my only to techie pals but no got any and my other friends are well lets say don't understand Yoda talk.

Any solid state memory, be it SSDs or RAM, used or new, will be pretty expensive for quite a while.

I guess that DDR4 RAM needed for my spare Gigabyte Z170 board will have to wait till next year then. Thanks for the info.

Germany is a little more expensive than the states for PC components, but this year the RAM prices are also pretty high, at about €10, per Gigabyte, and even more for the kits.

Yeah, I'm in the states so prices outside there doesn't mean a whole lot to me unless I'm reviewing world wide prices for other reasons. That said, nice to have reference points though.
