Hehe, my 3 year old Mac Book Pro is still more than i need at home. But eventually I will buy a new PC. I just bought a new cell phone and it was so expensive, it feels like I bought a PC.

I enjoy building computers, speccing one up, dreaming about the day I get it, then building it and enjoying the result.
One recommendation I would give you for your new PC would be to buy an SSD, not one of the cheaper end ones but something like an 850 evo or if your motherboard can support one, a 960 evo, those things are beast.

Just swapped out the following,
FX8350
Asus M5A97 EVO
8 GB DDR3 1600
for,
Ryzen 5 1500X
MSI B350 Tomahawk
8 GB DDR4 2666
Had been considering the upgrade for a while and was pricing things out recently, but decided to wait a little bit longer for hopefully better sales (were a couple last week, but decided to wait). Wouldn't you know it, came home from work on Friday to a computer that wouldn't boot up. Was working just fine in the morning, but nothing but the evening. Had three options for what was wrong,
1. PSU
2. Motherboard
3. CPU
Seeing as the one one I could I could actually test was the PSU, did that and got the same result. Needless to say couldn't really go without a PC till a decent sale came along so out I went yesterday to replace the motherboard, RAM and CPU.
Must say that despite the expense I wasn't really planning on I am quite pleased with the difference in performance from the FX8350 to the R5 1500X. That and the power saving (close to 140W at full load) is a very nice bonus.
