I have used both AMD and Intel. There is no comparison, in my opinion. Intel is head and shoulders above AMD. Now that Ryzen has come out, that may have changed, I don't know. I really hope it has. We will benefit more than either AMD or Intel. I hope the Ryzen platform matures soon and we can really see what it is like. It is confusing that they haven't solved all of the chipset problems yet and are already coming out with a new one. Because of that and more than a few other things, I remain unconvinced. But, I hope they pull it off.
    Well said Steve

Been looking, but unable to find a definitive date for the UK release of the EVGA G3 1000w PSU. Does anyone have any ideas?

It may be worth waiting on. This is the conclusion from Johnny Guru's testing it. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...tory6&reid=494

Doesn't Newegg have a UK store? Check them. It says in stock in the US Newegg https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16817438096

pretty sure everything will still ship from north america so im sure it will be more expensive than sites based in the uk. And it has to go through customs. Here is the fine print below.

"Please note that for products shipped to destinations outside of the United States and Canada, any manufacturer warranty may not be valid; manufacturer service options may not be available; product manuals, instructions, and safety warnings may not be in destination country languages; the products (and accompanying materials) may not be designed in accordance with destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements; and the products may not conform to destination country voltage and other electrical standards (requiring use of an adapter or converter if appropriate). You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from Newegg.com, you (or the recipient, if the shipment is not directed to your address) is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Furthermore, by placing your order, you are giving Power of Attorney to Newegg to import the goods on your behalf with you as the importer of record. You acknowledge that Newegg may subcontract with third parties for the importation of the product(s) you have ordered."

Yea, I had that part figured out. I was just thinking if Newegg US had them in stock maybe Newegg UK had them as well.
