Gigabyte Motherboard does not save OC settings?

    Hi

I have the GA-P35-S3L Motherboard and a Core 2 Quad Q6600. I OCed my Q6600 and set the voltage to 1.3v but when I check task manager it shows maximum speed at 2.40ghz which is the normal clock speed of the processor.

I checked CPU-Z and the Core Speed maxes at around 3000-3006 mhz under load. The Voltage is stuck around 1.248V

    Is this normal?

A kot of MB only go to top speed under load and stays low to conserve energy normally it can be efected by power setting in the bios

This may or may not affect your issue but are you using the high performance power plan?

Just as I found out, CPU-Z detects the current OC settings just fine. I have have also noticed that the FSB speed jumped to 1333mhz (since the Q6600 have FSB clock of 1066).

    Thanks for the help everyone!
