Tnx. it's a start, CPU mark is real good and that's what interests me most. That's already past 7700 at 5 GHz.

LOL.....Steve my friend, I retired over 7 years ago from reviewing and pretty much went into hibernation if you will......

So much has changed over the past few years it is like I have come out of a coma and have to get back up to-date and these new AMD toys seem like a good starting point to get back in the game.......

I think that trying to keep up with all the young guns keeping your mind active helps the brain cells to stay active and........as they say "Use it or loose it"...........so as long as my wallet can keep up with my brain I should be in good shape for a while.....LOL

The game is the same, just the tools and the methods have changed.

I just started a new thread regarding RAM for Ryzen.......hope this helps others.....

Thought it best to be a separate thread so it does not get lost in this friendly semi on-target conversation here......LOL

Well, yes. Some of us 'old timers' still do it the same old way. Every new architecture that has come out, has a few different twists and turns, some more than others. We just have to figure those out. They have come out with some new "auto overclocking" utilities, but us old guys almost never use them.

The game of making the CPU and GPU go faster than it was designed to go is exactly the same. Tactics and methods are all that changes.
