Let me know what you guys think. I want to build a desktop for myself that runs VMs like nobodies business, with gaming a far second.
For sure i got the Cpu and Board on newegg for 366.00 and change lol this is a cheap build for me because all i am doing is swapping out old Amd part for new one's this is actually my kids rig

I need new ram and maybe a M.2

I had to order a new Waterpump bracket set for my Corsair H75 that is on her system i was also debating should i swap fans get a different case and add one of my 1080's on it

I still have a GTX970 which runs well for what she does

@kipper ,About to start overclocking the 1600x will report back

Also when you had your chip did core temp register ?

I had to use HWmonitor because i couldn't tell what the hell was going on it ran really cool but i would love to see how cool it was

Anyway I ran Cinebench at stock pretty impressive i think this chip maxes out at 4.0Ghz Erich from Tech of Tomorrow got 4.1 Ghz stable 1.4 v core

Probably need to mess with the Bios first though and see if there is a update lol

Core Temp will not work on Ryzen yet.........I monitored the temps via AIDA64.....

I think you were smart to go with the 1600X.........I might end up with one before all of this is over......LOL

Bro this thing almost caught my 6850k @4.5Ghz AMD has done some sh*t

This at max speed 4.0 Ghz 1.4 Vcore this is insano in the Braino !

    6850k @ 4.5 Cinebench 1372 Max Temp 65c

    1600x @ 4.0 Cinebench 1300 Max Temp 75c

This is the sweet spot chip no doubt about it $249.00 Intel better start dropping prices 6core vs six core Ryzen for almost half the price

Received the MSI X370 SLI Plus and what a major disapointment this was.....

With the latest BIOS this board takes 30-40 seconds to post and on every 2nd or 3rd restart it locks up......could not get it to recognize the M.2 drive so it is boxed and waiting for UPS to return it.

Next up will be the ASUS Prime B-350 Plus.....
