Hi Cliff,
After watching some of his videos I decided to tweak one of my setting that I usualy always keep on Auto and that is the LLC.
I took his advice and set it to 5 (when Auto was set my LLC is at level 6 with Optimized VRM switching profile for my 4.5GHz OC and Extreme VRM profile for my 4.7GHz OC using Asus Intelligent processor 5 tool)
I tested the quick and heavy way for stability using IBT (std) and it pass with temps of 65 66 67 65
then using a custom run (testing 10Gb RAM) it failed on the 7th run (temps were 69 68 69 68)
back to BIOS and dial in Auto LLC with the following:
IBT (std) = PASS temps 67 68 68 67
IBT (custom 10Gb RAM) = PASS temps 72 71 72 70
Looks as if Asus have done a good job with this when left/ set on Auto.
Can you look at the following value I have entered in to my system and advice accordingly please:
System OC is 4.7GHz @ 1.300v (read as 1.296v)
Cache set too: 255.50 41(min) 41(max)
Voltage is adaptive with 0 off-set
LLC is Level 6
Power Phase is Extreme
CPU Current Capacity is 140%
CPU VRM switching frequency is Auto
DRAM voltage is 1.3530 (OC RAM from 2400@1.2v to 3200)
VPPDDR voltage is 2.500
CPU VCCIO is 1.125
DMI voltage is 1.13
CPU standby 1.17
CPU system agent is 1.2000
thanks
