The main thing straying me away from the IPS over the TN version is all the reports of bad backlight bleed. Though I almost never have my monitors turned up to higher than 60% brightness.
As a photographer I use IPS panels because they offer better color rendering and superior viewing angles. As a hardcore gamer, I've had no issues gaming with them with regards to ghosting. That said, I don't play fast paced games like racing games where ghosting may be more prevalent, but mainly RPG and FPS games where ghosting is basically non existent. As far as "bad backlight bleed", not an issue, especially if the panel is well built.

Anyway I've provided just two panel summaries - IPS and TN. You can read more about them and others here at TFTCentral.com - Panel Technologies

Oh, and YES, TN panels tend to be better suited for gamers. For me though, being both a photographer and gamer, I would never go back to a TN panel.

vsync forced off fps capped to 160 , vsync is enabled by default with gsync , so you have gsync up until fps exceeds frequency its then disabled and vsync kicks in to stop tearing , but as you know vsync brings horrible mouse lag . For me id rather force it off and make sure my fps doesnt exceed 165 :)
Ok. That's what I did with my laptop, but the image was still jittery. Sorta like micro lag. That didn't get fixed until vsync was forced on. Maybe just the setup. Like it seemed like gsync did nothing unless vsync was enabled. Even with my FPS caped at 74.

From that laptop that had the IPS gsync screen, I loved the color pop it HD to it. Made images and gaming look amazing. As far as my current monitor, it's a 5ms response time with really bad ghosting. So anything will be better than it.

Well my NEC PA242w has a response time of 8ms and I don't notice ghosting. What games are you playing that produces them?

Anyway it's not only a monitor's response time that can lead to ghosting (blurring) but other things such as cable, GPU, game setting, PC settings, resolution, and monitor tech - That is you might have monitor with an 10ms response time running better than one with half the time (5ms).

Point is I wouldn't go chasing response times when looking at my gaming needs as today's monitors are far better than those of yesteryear :)

ALl my games have some sort of ghosting. With this monitor I was more worried about the backlight bleed than anything else.

I also won't go with a TN panel. I have used Dell IPS panels for years and am completely satisfied with them for gaming. My old eyes and slow reflexes don't need more than 60hz on a monitor. I prefer quality, color accuracy and great viewing angles.

I've grown a custom to higher than 60hz frame rate and can actually tell very easily once it dips to 59. Strains my eyes and gives me a headache. Now the difference between 60hz and 75hz in my laptop. Couldn't tell. Hopefully I can see higher than that with this new one.

some have it some dont , alot of it is IPS glow which they all have and people confuse it with bleed. they are a high end monitor and cherry picked panels so you should be good although i have seen some bad ones on youtube

This monitor is amazing! So glad I got it! My only complaint is the speakers. They are quiet and have too much bass.
