Oh, and YES, TN panels tend to be better suited for gamers. For me though, being both a photographer and gamer, I would never go back to a TN panel.

Ok. That's what I did with my laptop, but the image was still jittery. Sorta like micro lag. That didn't get fixed until vsync was forced on. Maybe just the setup. Like it seemed like gsync did nothing unless vsync was enabled. Even with my FPS caped at 74.

From that laptop that had the IPS gsync screen, I loved the color pop it HD to it. Made images and gaming look amazing. As far as my current monitor, it's a 5ms response time with really bad ghosting. So anything will be better than it.

Well my NEC PA242w has a response time of 8ms and I don't notice ghosting. What games are you playing that produces them?

Anyway it's not only a monitor's response time that can lead to ghosting (blurring) but other things such as cable, GPU, game setting, PC settings, resolution, and monitor tech - That is you might have monitor with an 10ms response time running better than one with half the time (5ms).

Point is I wouldn't go chasing response times when looking at my gaming needs as today's monitors are far better than those of yesteryear :)

ALl my games have some sort of ghosting. With this monitor I was more worried about the backlight bleed than anything else.

I've grown a custom to higher than 60hz frame rate and can actually tell very easily once it dips to 59. Strains my eyes and gives me a headache. Now the difference between 60hz and 75hz in my laptop. Couldn't tell. Hopefully I can see higher than that with this new one.

That's what im scared of. Its taking 3 weeks just to ship out to Japan here. It's a pita to return things or RMA.

This monitor is amazing! So glad I got it! My only complaint is the speakers. They are quiet and have too much bass.
