    Dude,
I thought of one more thing.
I did a bunch of tweaks for Windows 10 for Music Production, per a recommended video on Youtube.
one of the tweaks was this:
    Control Panel/ System/ Advanced System Settings/ Performance Options/ Advanced/
for Virtual Memory I clicked Change.
I set it to Custom Size.
and then entered 4096 for both Initial and Maximum. and then Set, and OK.
do you please possibly have any thoughts about all of that?
I mean do you think its still totally fine for me to give the XMP enabled a try?

I personally think it is best to let windows manage your Virtual Memory, the choice is yours

After you read the article, you will see turning on XMP or using any presets in UEFI if you have any(MSI boards have "Memory Try it!) and use the rated speed for you sticks, be sure not to go over the rated speed though as this can either cause the PC not to be able to boot, or cause instability to the system. Fore example, mine are rated 3000MHz, I tried 3200MHz, was able to boot into Windows, and even pass all the stress tests, and benchmark programs, But.....! when I tried to run one of my virtual machines in Hyper-V I couldn't, and VM's are run "mostly" in memory.
So again, only select the rated speed.
Cliff, OCing memory is dependent upon a few other settings. I would not use the MSI software to do it. Set it manually and give your VCCIO and SA a small bump. You will then find it stable

gotcha. hmmm. I have no clue what Initial and Maximum were before I changed them.
    do you think it matters?
maybe could I just change the setting back at the top, that is to say, check the box that says "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives"?
and so it wouldn't matter what it says in the Initial and Maximum boxes?

The speed of virtual memory depends on disk speed, and with you using M.2(highway to the CPU, it will be fast enough. as to letting Windows manage memory though, it depends on how much memory you have & how much disk space you have.

I have 32Gb of RAM and my system disk is 512Gb, and Windows but is only using not quite 5GB

They are presets, and mine is set to the about same as XMP, but XMP on my board makes changes to BCLK.

As long as it works well you could use those settings, use what you feel comfortable with

I don't need to, I'm happy with mine, I just used it as an example, and explained why overshooting the rated speeds by selecting a too high speed, might work for a while, but might cause instability at the worst time, and then you might not think about the setting that caused it later.
