    Your Thoughts On The Biostar X370GT7 Ver. 5.x AM4 Mobo Specs Released.

    Well rumours have suggested 28 of Feb 2017 / 3rd or March 2017 or end of March for Ryzen CPU release.

    I think it is sooner since Biostar have release the specs for their AM4 mobos:

    X370GT7 :: Motherboard :: BIOSTAR

    So ? what are your thoughts on this new tech soon to be released or are you sticking with Intel or AM3 ?

    I'm sticking with Intel since I just upgraded. I do hope the new AMD is as good as the hype, I look forward to seeing results

    Looks pretty decent i was going to build a Ryzen Rig but AMD wore out my patience with the wait i have bought something better than their top performing chip

    I have a 6850 almost equal to a 6900 so in theory i need to overclock a bit and i will still be good to go

    Besides i don't want to deal with learning new Architecture unless i have to

    When I build my new rig next year, I'm going to give serious consideration to a Ryzen CPU. By that time the prices will have stabilized. I'll be giving a hard look at benchmarks, too. I'm leaning heavily toward Skylake or Kaby Lake, though, and the Ryzen core will have to perform just as well or better than Intel's offerings at a better price point to get me to buy. I'm still sore over the trickery that AMD employed over its Vishera architecture, that I unfortunately bought into.

    A multithreaded quad does not an 8-core make.

    Well my high end gaming case with water cooling is just waiting for a top end gaming CPU / MOBO to use in it as would like to use a Titan or 1080 Ti (when ???), so if AMD has the bench mark performance matching or beating Intel then I shall purchase one - just have to sell my air compressor off to pay for it, lol.
    If AMD is a let down will have to look into getting the best gaming Intel CPU / MOBO combo instead, until then I will just use my 1050Ti & FX6350 setup...

    With this new architecture & if it matches a benchmark of an Intel 4-core even though it is 8-core will the Parallel Computing Formula say it will perform the same regardless of cores ???

    It looks like a great cpu but in all honesty the prices are about the same their top cpu price is what i paid for my 6850k so i am not sad at all

    Also most 6800k's are the same price as a 7700k Believe that
