When I did use Corsair H.xxx coolers the fans sounded like I had a air field in my computer room.
Tossed those fans and used Noctua fans at 12 volts push/pull and the problem was solved.

I also use a lot of Phanteks fans. They are as good and quiet as the Noctua fans in my opinion.
I have two computer running on my desk. A total of 23 fans. Phanteks case fans and XSPC radiator fans all at 12 volts and I have no noise problems.
I also don't have a recording studio. I really don't know what sounds would be picked up in a recording studio.
If I can't run a fan at a full 12 volts I don't want that fan. I spend a lot of money on fans so they will be quiet and efficient.
Both my systems are quiet and cool and very over clocked all the time.

I've changed directions. I'm going with a Deepcool 120mm cooler. I'll use one of the Noctua fans for a case fan and the other a spare in case the Deepcool fan, which is supposed to be quiet, isn't.

I'm going to mark this solved since I'll be dumping the Corsair cooler, which I haven't liked from the start as it doesn't allow for the rear panel case fan, along with the noise.

The stock Corsair fans spin at 2100 RPM on the performance setting, fast enough to lift the case off the desk, LOL, in my opinion, a very good cooler once you replace the stock fans.

There`s no need to move that much air through the rad anyway, as it does not change the cpu temps.

I have another issue with the H100i in my BeQuiet case, the radiator/fan assembly would not fit until I removed the rear case fan. That leaves only the front case fan. A "potential" cooling problem.

The Deepcool Captain 120EX cooler came in yesterday. If it works as good (and quiet) as it looks it will solve the problem. I have two Noctua fans due in tomorrow, so Friday I'll take the PC down to change the cooler and add another case fan.

I've paired a couple of Noctua NF-A14 PWM (40mm) fans to my Corsair H115i Cooler, set things to Balanced mode using Corair's Link software and the cooler, pump, and fans are pretty much silent. Sure, I can hear the system's fans when the house is dead silent, but they're no louder than a home's central A/C unit. Just a low steady hum. Fans run about 850 rpm, while pump is running 1920 rpm. Core temps run around 24ish low load....

I don’t overclock and prefer a quiet system as I'm also a music buff. I run a high-end USB DAC off my system and the DAC pushes my powered speaker system. In that vein, I don't want to hear fans running when I'm listening to music at low volume. In Balanced mode (Corsair Link) with the Noctua fans, all I hear is music, not fans. works well here. I'll also add I use an EVGA 1000 watt power supply with an eco mode that prevents the fan from running unless needed.

As for BIOS settings, Gigabyte's fan solution sucks, but you can set the fan headers to 75% which is where I have them set to and just use quiet running case fans where necessary. I also have no more than four fans in my case to include the two Noctua radiator fans, but not including the PS or GPU fans. Again, this makes for a quiet system.

BTW I would have gone with Corsair's Air Series SP120 PWM Quiet Edition fans had they made them in 40mm sizes for the H1151... I use these on my Corsair H100i cooler and they're pretty quiet as well; anyway, I wound up with the Noctua’s for the H115i. They are quiet, but I hate that brown/tan color.

Fan "noise" is not a problem on playback, for me. "Noise" is a problem in certain recording instances. Sometimes I'll mic an acoustic guitar or a singer in the same room as the computer and I want to avoid any potential problems. I use "sensitive" condenser mic's for singers.

The old PC was "quiet" as I could mic an acoustic guitar within 3 feet of the tower and there was no "computer noise".

Well, FedEx dropped the ball. The Noctua fans were supposed to be delivered yesterday (FedEx tracking showed the package was on the vehicle for delivery) but it wasn't and new status shows "business was closed" as reason it wasn't delivered. I was home all day, I even saw a FedEx delivery vehicle in our neighborhood yesterday. This is not the first time I've had a "non delivery" for some made up reason by FedEx.
