    Multiplier Changing in CPU-Z

    Hi folks,

I have my FX-6300 running stable at 4.5GHz, but for some reason when I open CPU-Z the mulitpler keeps changing from 15.0 to 22.5 and the core speed drops from 4519MHz to 3013MHz.

I've disable C1E in my BIOS along with a few other power saving options. Is this something I should worry about or is it OK?

    -Chuck

Specs are in 'My System Specs' below.

I have the same CPU on an ASUS motherboard with CPU-Z version 1.78.1 and CPU 0 runs between 1404.43 and 3812.04 MHz, stock condition. Bus speed is about 200.xxMHz. Core voltage varies between 1.344V and 0.852V. Clicking Clocks shows the same speed variance on all 6 cores but not in sync, not all at the same time.

Chuck do you have you VCore set to adaptive so your CPU's voltage is stepped down when it's under less load?

Hey Cliff, turns out I had APM enabled. I disabled it and now everything seems to be working just fine.

I'm having to redo my overclocks this weekend, as I did a BIOS update last Sunday, and the OC profiles saved are BIOS version specific
Now I have a new setting to contend with too, concerning BCLK apply(Auto, Next Boot, and Immediately(which will not boot into Windows))
