Well, hello VegaDude.
@doorules, that is pretty much what I am thinking. We also need to remember Nvidia's pricing structure when they came out with the TI. (The first time I can recall anyone getting excited over a $700 Video card). That pricing structure put AMD in a pretty narrowly defined pricing box. That may be causing them some grief too. If it isn't one of those 2 reasons, they need to fire their whole marketing team and start over.
That's my thought as well. When I saw the Vega/Doom video awhile back (believe it was before 1080TI benches were out), I said ok maybe it competes against 1080 (at least in Vulcan) but what about 1080 TI.
It wouldn't surprise me if AMD is working their buts off trying to come up with more performance to bring it closer to 1080TI.
I wasn't really calling him VegaDude. I was calling him "Dude waiting to see vega/1080/1080ti comparisons".
Doesn't look like many or any are waiting, this board and everywhere else from what I see plus the demand for the TI's. Good release/marketing move by Nvidia on the TI's.
Still will be interesting to see Vega performance, especially on benches like Superposition (memory bandwidth), etc. Also will like to see DX12 performance.
BTW, no DX12 option in a new bench like Superposition. What's that about?
Actually, seems like Superposition is all about 1080P versus 2K or 4K or 8K. I'm actually more interested in seeing a 4K run where the forum member actually has a 4K monitor. I keep checking the user specs when they post their bench. Who has a 4K monitor? Not many I think.
Nice if dude included CPU/GPU/Monitor in the tables or a separate spreadsheet with bench guys hardware config. Ya, he doesn't have enough to do already
