Totally agree. If I had a 1080 I would probably not went for the ti so soon if not at all. Still looking forward to what AMD bring out over the next year or so as I have always built red systems.

I tried to use this argument with EVGA Customer Service in my "Give Me a Reason to Buy a 1080TI" conversation with them. I don't qualify for step up and I don't think FTW3 is part of any step up. I said why would a FTW 1080 owner consider anything but a FTW3 TI? I told them, would you like your non qualified step up 1080 owners to consider a next purchase Vega or another Nvidia Volta brand down the road?

EVGA Customer Support is great but I was obviously trying to stretch it, and I failed. That is mainly to the disappointment of my next in line nephews.

It's not all speculation there are some facts in there as well but pretty much everyone who has talked about Vega is repeating the same ya ya 25% faster than a 1080 21% slower than a 1080ti

It's all speculation until there's an actual card pushing actual performance numbers. Games don't run on speculation, they run on physical GPU's. That's the way I look at it
