Isn't Vega supposed to be out this month? I wonder how good they will be.

Yeah, a bunch of us guys were discussing 60hz, versus 120, versus 144 at work the other day. A couple of the guys hands down can see a noticeable difference and can identify the refresh rate. Other of us though, could not tell a difference. Its most likely we haven't been trained on exactly what to look for, but its hard to describe something as a night and day difference if you have to be told where the differences are.

I fall into that category of people who can barely perceive the difference. With my old man eyes, and surgery I had as a kid for a wandering eye, I just don't perceive it the same. (I also cannot see the 3D effect in movies).

So, there you have it. I live in lowly 60Hz land and see as well as I going to. When I build a new system for myself, I will likely get a high refresh rate monitor to give to my son and take his 24" Dell Ultrasharp.

For the record I use two Gsync Monitors one is 2560x1440 16.9 aspect ratio 144hz and the other 3440x1440 Ultrawide 21.9 aspect ratio 100hz

This would be the reasons to Purchase the resolution can't be beat and you need powerful GPU's to run it

The guess seems to be April 18.

There you go, essenbe. You might have to return that 1080TI .

    But....
But.... AMD doesn't update their drivers that often or very fast.
And their support for their older cards is non existent.
My other PC(packed up and stored away), has an R5 235, only got the new UI, but no new drivers for Crimson, and doesn't get any more updates, but for an old weak card, I must say for my use(day to day and virtual machines) it still runs nice and the graphics quality are good, but slow when using GIMP.
    Screw AMD

    Yep!
And I need to go to work for a class today 8am to 11am, having to do with preparing & sending Air-Freight.
We send stuff world wide Air, Land, Sea, and the international Customs law requires us to be classed on sending packages, even if our job at the warehouse is just driving a forklift, and not being a packer.

Slides don't run games, cards do

It's vaporware until it actually happens. And this is coming from an AMD GPU guy.

And, did anyone happen to notice this? Anyone who doesn't recognize that phrase, there are plenty here that can explain.

I think many are expecting Vega to perform somewhere between a 1080 and a 1080TI. But I echo sygnus21, or in other words show me the benchmarks.
