I've seen no overwhelming reports about bad heat paste issues like that of the early Haswell's. Sure, there may be reports out there, but nowhere near those of the Haswell. And that didn't stop me from upgrading. None issue here. And as noted, it's not just about frame numbers, but newer tech and added instruction extensions. Were I to simply go on frame numbers, I wouldn't have upgraded from my Haswell 4790K to the Skylake 6700K.

But I get it, and I could save the $300 dollars for something else. Thanks.
I understand where you are going and i had to debate this myself but at the end of the day only new features are octane and the 4k resolution implemented on the Netflix and Edge browsers but that is a minor and a 5% ipc boost really isn't justifiable

The frames i was talking about is when they showed a test but i get where you are going with that as well not everyone is about gaming but yes when they test these chips they forget not everyone is out there to game

Just calculated out a ride to the nearest Micro Center and I can make it there and back in 2 days of hard riding.......think this will be an overnight ride for me early this summer.......

On a side note with the problems with the Ryzen products I just blew my cash on a new GPU, my new GTX1070 will be here Wednesday....hopefully......

Or Coffee Lake later this year?
Intel will release 8th-gen Coffee Lake chips this year - still 14nm

This is kinda funny that AMD might be the more expensive option. Spend more and get lesser performance in most real world situations.

Now that's another thing for AMD boys to crow about personally it's about the same some Motherboards are cheaper than others so is ram the only real thing that is expensive is the CPU and why would you short yourself price is worth the performance that is why they have Tier levels lol people are crazy

Most important is people need to remember Performance cost and best case scenario is save up instead of wanting to build with a half azz budget that is the real issue

People complain Intel is too expensive but yet they pay almost the same for less performance so in the end it is poor judgement not intel Prices they have lesser chips that do just as good as a I7 but AMD users don't get that they only pay attention to people with I7's

Definitely not how AMD planned it. And it didn't even require a new Intel chip, just a slight price drop
