@Layback Bear Windows 7 will install in UEFI mode. When you boot from the USB to install, choose the UEFI USB listing, Delete all the partitions in the area where you want to install and select New from the advanced options. The installer will create the partitions, then press next and the install will start.

Or, you can set the BIOS to boot from either.

I have tried that several times with no cookies and milk.

Windows 7 can't find the NVMe M.2 to install using UEFI.
The M.2 are seen in the bios but Windows 7 doesn't see them to install UEFI.
I have tried many things. In a couple of day I will go back and start over. Right now I have tried so many things my 3 brain cells are angry. It's very frustrating when something so simple get to be so difficult.

Yes Fast Boot is off and Secure boot is off. I have tried it from the Microsoft DVD and a USB thumb drive.
I installed Windows 7 Pro UEFI on the system in my specs without any problems.
Their is some little thing that I'm missing in the bios.

I just put together a new system with the intent of dual booting (UEFI) W-7 and W-10.
So far W-7, NVMe (M.2) x2 and UEFI are not getting along. W-7 installed in (MBR) but as of yet I can't get it to install (UEFI).

Was debating about that same CPU but i would hold off you might be able to get a 6900k for that price AMD is releasing Ryzen the top tier cpu competes with a 6900k for $500.00

@Layback Bear, have you tried this Jack? This is an Intel Instruction PDF on installing Windows 7 to an nvme drive. I think it requires a Microsoft hotfix and a driver to make Windows 7 naturally support NVME drives.

As mentioned installing W7 to an NVMe is not a straightforward process. They don't play nice with each other. Here is how you can do it on an Asus mobo... should be same process for any mobo though...
