I did speak with Asus, the said the board wasnt getting power. Even the q code leds didnt light up. The wanted me to rma for repair. Like Steve said, i went the amazon route. Sent in for a refund and will try the code model next
I hope the 3rd time is a charm Doug, this would drive me nuts. Hope everything goes well with the MB this time.

Install and wire two different boards, turn on the power and nothing happens both times and their answer is "hey, the board's not getting power". I have a six year old nephew who wouldn't have a clue what the actual issue is but I bet he could also have confirmed the obvious SYMPTON to you.

Ya, I would have gone the Amazon route as well, especially after a tech support call like that.

No kidding. If the 3rd time ISN'T a charm, I would strongly suggest he give his banner brand or some other brand a go.

Hmmm seems like those are the New Sabertooths instead of calling them that they go by Mark 1 now

Sabertooth boards have always been good to me

I'm waiting for Ryzen but don't think I'll do anything before June/July or until picture clears up and prices level. If it fails my performance/$$$ criteria (gives me large performance boost over my main PC) than I'll consider switching to Intel or just get best today's AMD system: a 220W MB + FX 9370 processor and wait next couple of years.
    Patience is a virtue, I don't fall for V 1.0 of anything.
