    I just got home from work, and read your posts.
    Good job with the delid:)

    They should actually extend the warranty, because it now runs cooler, and therefor will last longer.

    Got my system running cool and quiet with the following settings:

    RAM = 3200 14 14 14 31 1T @ 1.35v (XMP)
    8700k = 4.7 GHz (all cores) @ 1.28v
    AVX off set of 3 (4.4GHz)
    Cache = Auto (4.4GHz)
    Idle temps = 33oC +/-
    Max temps = 60oC +/-
    Fans are set as before (6700k system) to be low and very quiet.

    I can only be described as insane I have tested 5.0GHz and 5.1GHz and both seem benchmark ready.
