Not that this has anything to do with PC hardware or Windows, but I just setup my new devices I received yesterday. Wanted to mention this just because Windows mobile seems almost dead and I had to renew my mobile arsenal. So I continue to use Android because I don't want to become limited by the Apple ecosystem.
The list is:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (64GB Midnight Black model)
- Samsung Galaxy Gear3
- Samsung DeX station
- Samsung µSD 256GB UHS-1 (R/W: 90/85MBps)
(no links since all info can be found at Samsung home page.
So far I love all what these devices has to offer.
Using the Note as a "PC" over HDMI atm, with keyboard, mouse and 1Gbit LAN , and it's awesome! Getting Windows like experience from DeX and the Gear3 keeps me moving every hour. All apps I currently use from MS supports windowing and resizing, except Remote Desktop (will give feedback to MS about this). The UI is very snappy, even though I run the device in balanced performance mode.
I know this was an expensive investment, especially for mobile devices but it is over 4 years since I upgraded all my mobile devices. After using these new devices I can say with confidence that it was well worth it.
Thoughts?
I too have a Note 8, and a gear s3 frontier. With my preorder of the Note 8, I got the convertible wireless charging dock and the 128GB Samsung EVO Plus microSDXC UHS-I card. The watch was a gift from my wife for my birthday. The phone was an upgrade from my note 4.
