The G2 is going into my Daughters Ryzen machine the 6700k build already has a Corsair HX1050

As her build is only using a CM-750 Corsair i can just keep it as a back up or something

I saw that too Tommy, but it's hard to get over the 16 PCIe lanes of the 8700K.
Intel claims it is the best gaming CPU they have ever released.
I think I can live with 16 lanes myself. If my understanding is correct, 16 lanes are controlled directly by the CPU, so my 1 graphics card will use all off those lanes. Then, the mobo provides an additional 24 lanes through the southbridge which will allow m2 support as well as optane or other PCIe stuff.

Hope it doesn't get that hot on load that simple validation ran it up to 81c
