Back on topic and assuming both your memory is correct, thank you for the response. If it's normal I don't get why system info services has to be running all the time. I would think it would launch when 3D mark launches and close when you close 3DMark.
That is normal with any triggered services, both Windows internal services and 3rd-party services. They get trigger started and will stay available until you manually stop the service or reboot your computer. Because services don't have any timer limits, they will run forever once started.

I would actually say the same Pascal is pretty limited which is why no one really runs benches

I have set all kinds of tweeks and settings and same results each time so i figured Pascal is what it is and no more honestly ,I can have more fun doing sli 1080's they seem to overclock very good
I get that. But from the other side a lot of gamers have said to me they are very pleased the 1080 TI is running at about its 24/7 maximum potential out of the box, or at least the maximum potential Nvidia puts on it. They say to me it should always be like that. I can understand It does put the overclockers in the "Steve Burke group" - bored.

I agree. It makes overclocking and benchmarking really boring. But as a gaming card, it is hard to beat.

I wonder if it will be a trend. Guess we won't know until Volta TI comes out. I had a long conversation concerning Pascal OCing (or lack of) with an EVGA tech about a month ago. He mentioned the voltage some were attempting on Kepler/Maxwell was insane, then some complaining/trying to return the cards. Thus Nvidia gave us GPU Boost.

But my thought is I assume there are more hard core gamers than overclockers. with Nvidia of course looking at the largest market.

I am guilty of the voltages with Kepler. I never needed to RMA one though. It's hard to kill a Classified. I know, I tried. That was probably my favorite time of overclocking a GPU. It was really fun. I guess I should have made a video of me doing it. We'll never see those days again, I believe. On the other hand, it's nice to have a card you can play any game out with good frame rates and not even think about overclocking the card. Maybe that is considered overkill, but I happen to be a big fan of overkill. :)

Overkill is awesome! Nothing wrong with that. I used to be that guy too...having 10-100x more horsepower in my computer than I would ever need...until the day came that my computer was not powerful enough to run the most "basic" stuff I needed. :)

Nice to see the sale of Gaming PC desktops going strong.

PC Gaming desktops sales grow by 55 percent

And note the sale of peripherals, especially monitors. Much of the gaming community (like me) is still at 1080P. See the Jan 2017 Steam survey below. Maybe that's starting to change. I for one with a 1080 TI am now feeling comfortable that this GPU could push out decent minimum FPS at 1440P. For the first time, I'm starting to look at 1440P monitor reviews.

And keep paying attention to us PC gamers, Microsoft. What other group do you have where 50% of users are on Windows 10.

Nice post @specialkone. Good to hear gaming and gaming hardware is on the increase, in spite of all the predictions that desktops and traditional laptops are on their way to extinction.
