Every Generation has a 5% increase which overclocking is pretty much Balances it out seems to me we're better off sticking with the current hardware until about 2020 seriously by then it may be a 20%performance increase at best from Intel anyway

AMD has brought back competition but reality is none of these will improve hardware from 2015-2017 for gaming everything is with in margin and really no way to say what solution is best it is a Tie as far as i am concerned

Sadly though this is almost across the board with the select 1% that uses Powerful builds for other purposes but most of us do about the same thing if any that is why we come here

I bought a 5960x but it was a dud and returned it

Now i am considering grabbing a 7700k that was already delided and repackaged that will hit 5.2 Ghz with no Thermal issues what so ever

Just something for me to consider i am not even sure if it will make any difference besides benchmarks

Important thing here is i got my money back but yeah straight dud sent it to Intel found out the seller took it from a OEM machine and tried to pass it off as new

I straight told him Intel wouldn't make stuff like that up and your caught so he had to give the money up lol

I'll just get one from Silicone Lottery effortless and they delid and reseal the CPU'S

If you want to skip all the deliding and effort just get one from Silicon lottery


They have CPU's up tested delided and resealed for your pleasure it seems like a way better option then trying to find a chip that will do it and they brought the temps down by 25c at best

It would be pretty much locked in results they published with cooler temps of 25c
