    Yes. First AMD System ever. Besides the base system I have now. I bought the FX-6300 system with the sole purpose of upgrading the RAM, Main Board, and CPU. The rest of the parts are staying.

    That was exactly same path as I took. Pretty large difference.

    I was going to outright buy a Ryzen Desktop, but I decided I was going to wait a little while before the switch and only got $650 out of selling my other stuff so I bought the FX-6300 system pretty loaded out to use then in a couple months will buy a upgrade kit from Newegg.

    Very likely the delays on Vega relate to HBM2 which is also why we are hearing things like this about Volta:

    This is fine for right now with the way Pascal clocks i don't know how much more they can overcome with new Architecture

    Be glad to see the results once they have the HBM sorted out

    Anyhow i'm going to try a different TI seems the one i have is having issues i will contact Gigabyte

    Now that Evga has them Available might wait for a Kingpin or Something

    I see they are like $1200 pretty pricey besides that Ti's are still close in performance with them
