Well, I never really delved into the details, but supposedly Kaby Lake was just an overclocked Skylake. If you believe that, it should follow that Kaby Lake X and Skylake X would be pretty much the same, I guess. I do recall hearing somewhere that they were supposed to have improved IPC's, so maybe there are some improvements to the X series. In the end, I guess we don't really know the answer until they are released. Until then, it is all speculation.
I hope someone here gets one and can say how it stacks up:)

But I would be nice if the X series, also fixed the Kaby problem where it get's too warm(as compared to Skylake).

All I want to get, is a new Z170 mainboard, that's good at overclocking, and then decide between an AIO for my Golden 6700K(from the net, it seems to be a very good overclocker, without having to delid), or jumping over my shadow, and learn how to custom loop.

Check out ASUS boards, I love mine .....next board I am interested in is just a Z270. Wish I had one now actually ASUS are very good at overclocking Cliff. :)

That's what I was thinking about
They fine tune better than MSI, although, Doug did recommend me one, if I want to stay MSI.
There is no rush for me, though, so I have time.
