And that would aptly apply to Intel :)

They're only talking because most reviewers out there said what the heck

Anyway people forget I9's will be in laptops etc so i mean if you need a laptop that has some getup i am sure they wil be around the average price they've always been with intel inside

Besides if this makes more people buy AMD so be it then that means everyone has a choice and no more this or that or who is better than who it should be a equal playing field now

Tommy, a 140 Watt CPU in a laptop? Hope they are real cheap.

It looks to me like AMD is going to manage to keep up their price point advantage. The one place where AMD still fails is motherboards. Intel has much better boards that allow other hardware to actually make use of their new capabilities. If AMD could make motherboards with the same capabilities that you find for Intel then they could easily surpass Intel in most categories. I go with AMD for price point even with their weaker motherboards because hardware is ahead of software at this point. If you really need your hardware to achieve its maximum potential then you might consider Intel with its strongest motherboards.

Well I'm about to buy a laptop now so if some are getting i9's I'll be missing out since I can't wait that long.

Isn't this platform geared towards gamers and enthusiast but like Steve is saying i doubt they will but who knows intel may try it

Also i read where intel was going to focus on this market anyway and Skylake may be the end of the line for mainstream

I'm not sure I know where you're going here, but why wouldn't Intel put i9's in laptops? Maybe not now, the tech is too new, but in the end I see that as an inevitable move. It's like saying Intel wouldn't put i7's in laptops; yet here we are.
