    I don't know what you are trying to say, but those chips haven't been released yet. Compare those to these, which are the current released chips. These were the prices when released.

    Sure, that's easy. Intel wants you to buy a more expensive CPU if you need more lanes.

    Hahaha yeah i am really going to think about that it would probably be better to move up a cpu and not even worry about a new platform

    Deep thought moment lol if they lower the 6900 or 6950 i think i can do that

    Microcenter is probably having good sales right now. They better get rid of those old chips before the new ones hit the market. But there are supposed to be some good improvements in the new chipsets.

    It doesn't take $600 to be a "decent performer". That is way more than decent. Plenty of decent offerings for half that price.

    AMD should be concerned. If Intel can just leapfrog them, who is going to want the AMD. Sure you can get more cores for less $$'s, but how many benchmarks per dollar can you get?

    Agreed. I love nice PCs and I only run an i5 currently in my sons new desktop and my laptop. Low prices on i5's and i7's will result. You don't need an i9.
